CRAWL SPACE INSULATION

Again, our team is very well versed in requirements, as far as termite inspection bands. Weatherstripping and insulating, or even installing new, crawlspace access doors. We use a poly with a 20 mil thickness, that is also resistant to radon gas. We have a host of things we do, to ensure that even though spray foam does not adhere well to poly itself, we powder fasten the poly up the wall a ways, then spray all the way down to the floor/dirt level inside the crawlspace wall, so that the seal remains intact up behind the poly, when service men are crawling along the exterior crawlspace wall later on, etc. We also fasten, and then foam, all penetrations/support piers, again, to cut down on vapor intrusion, whether from the ground below the house, or the air outside the crawlspace. We even go so far as, when necessary with non-closable foundation vents, to block them off first, and paint the side that will be visible from the exterior of the house a flat black paint, for aesthetic purposes. When we are finished, you will not groan if you ever need to crawl beneath your house for anything again. It will be dry, clean, and very close to the temp inside your house. Also, again, existing insulation removal, assessment of the existing crawlspace door, installation of sump pumps and dehumidifiers, when necessary.
